Getting Your Website Posted on Google’s Page One

October 29th, 2009

If you are not in the top ten of Google, it would be like your website is inexistent. Very few people visit the sites on the second page of Google. Being in the top ten is important as mentioned in ppc bully.  If your site is not on the first few pages, it is unlikely that your web site will ever be seen - except by you and your friends!

There are many factors that determine the relevancy of your website. How Google exactly does this is top secret. For this reason, no one can guarantee your spot in Google.

Getting on the first page of Google can be tedious but is possible if you follow some SEO guidelines. Getting listed on the first page of Google depends on a number of factors:

* The target keyword
* Number of competing pages for your target keyword
* The size of your website
* How well you use keywords on your site
* Number of baclinks pointing to your website

To get to the top ten of Google, make sure your website is the best for the services and products you offer.   Add relevant information and useful offers to make your visitors come back for more. Be on top of things when in comes to your niche market.

Do keyword research and identify the keywords that you want to go for. Sprinkle some of the keywords in your website.  Do not over do this.  Put relevant keywords as well but do not put your keywords repeatedly.

Link back to your website as much as you can. Each backlink is like a vote to your website.

Although your SEO efforts are worthwhile if you have the time and energy for it, there are some things you can do if you are on a tight budget. Just remember that optimizing your site takes time and you are unlikely to see immediate results unless you have identified a keyword that has little effective competition.
